karen's respond

Dear Alma, The title of this book is ‘Among the Imposters’ by Margaret Peterson Haddix. This story is about Luke. He’s the third child and was hiding from the population police in the first book of this series. Now this is the second book. Luke has a different a name and a new history. Jen’s dad has given him a new identity of being this second child who was his age and died on an accident. He has now seen that his life in school isn’t that easy as how he expected it. I liked this book because it really tells you and describes the places and persons as if you were there. I think that you should read this story because it would tell you how a 13 year old boy would feel and think if he was the third children in his family. The author did a great job at making this book ad making us understand how it would feel to be Luke. I would rate this book a 9 because it didn’t have as much mystery or action that would make a story a really good book. If this story had contained those things maybe if it had had one of those two things, the story would have been rated a 10 in which makes a cool book that makes everyone read it. When I read this story it helped me make sense of the world and think how lucky we are. Lucky me, I’m the third kid in my family. That’s what made me understand this story so good. I think that the author’s message was to always try your vest no matter what happens, for example Luke had always wanted to go to school. He kinda liked it but then kids started teasing him and doing jokes that he would never expect he didn’t really care he still tried hard at school. Sincerely; Karen
